The fourteenth mayor of Oklahoma City Daniel Vorhes Lackey was born in Lawrence County, Illinois on November 2, 1877. He served as mayor for nearly 8 months after the resignation of [[Henry M. Scales]] in October of 1910. In addition to serving as mayor of Oklahoma City, he also served as president of the Oklahoma City Stockyards Exchange.
